Porta at Robertson Quay on the other hand, serves up modern European gastronomic delights using premium produce from across the world. PORTA’s new and refreshed a la carte menu is ingeniously crafted by newly appointed Executive Chef Alex Phan brings a new discovery to your culinary senses.
Amongst the new additions to their new a la carte menu are appetisers like Sweet Potato & Kale (S$14++) with tahini and walnuts; and Tuna Tartare (S$18++), which showcases Chef Alex’s culinary repertoire in marrying modern European dishes with Asian-inspired flavours.
Some of my personal favourites include Spring Chicken (S$24++) with taro puree, roasted vegetables; Norwegian Salmon (S$24++) served with a creamy, spiced pumpkin puree, that is sure to warm the tummy and Duck Ragout (S$24++) with pappardelle pasta, herbs and parmesan cheese.
We were offered Strawberry & Basil Panna Cotta (S$12++) for dessert. If you don’t like having herbs in your dessert, then maybe you should skip this as the flavour of basil is quite intense on the Panna Cotta. As we love all things with basil, it was a pleasure to chomp into this! Their version of Apple Crumble (S$14++) spiked with Chinese five-spice doused with a luscious crème Anglaise sounds interesting too but we didn’t have any more room to have a 2nd dessert unfortunately! Next time then!
PORTA offers a two- or three-course set lunch from Mondays through Fridays. Set Lunch is only valid on weekdays from 12.00pm to 2.30pm
