Love craft spirits and quick bites? If you do, you will definitely love The Secret Mermaid. The bar is a tight squeeze – with only one main bar counter to host 8 people at most. But the ambience, alcohol, and food served definitely makes up for it. Diners will also receive a free serving of sinful tater tots with every drink purchased.

The Library bar features a number of bar-worthy traits bar lovers seek: good cocktails and good conversation. To enter the Library, though, is no simple feat. Those interested in a cuppa here will have to provide a secret password – changed daily. The password can be found on the bar’s Facebook page. Good luck figuring it out though – we certainly couldn’t!

3. The Horse’s Mouth

Enter the thick curtain, push the heavy door, and walk down a dark stairway is pretty much the only way you can enter this beautifully crafted hidden bar. Oh, and did we mention that the curtain is hidden in a Japanese restaurant – the Uma Uma Izakaya restaurant, to add to the hidden bar’s mystique?

As for the drinks served, expect to leave the pretentious world of cocktails behind for one that serves good old fashioned whiskey and spirits. Amazing with a side of Wagyu beef cubes available for purchase at the bar.

Notoriously popular amongst the hip, young crowd in Singapore. Ah Sam’s Cold Drink Stall is the place to be when you’re craving a twist on good hawker food and drinks. Visitors have reportedly enjoyed the bar’s Milo-infused bourbon. Other interesting cocktails include the bar’s Rojak inspired cocktail featuring grilled pineapple and shrimp paste syrup. A new spin on one of our favorite local flavours!
