Missed out on celebrating Mother’s Day? Wine and dine your mother with Michelin-starred Chef Jungsik Yim on Friday, 19 May, and Saturday, 20 May.
In Singapore for only two days, Chef Yim will prepare a five-course “New Korean Cuisine” spread. According to Capella’s press release, “New Korean Cuisine” gives traditional Korean meals a twist inspired by Molecular Gastronomy – a cooking technique described as infusing elements from Chemistry and Physics into the cooking process.
Chef Yim’s “New Korean Cuisine” menu includes breaded oysters served with creamy squid ink as well as truffle-infused beef wrapped in seaweed.
Other specialties include charcoal grilled branzino (fish) with aged kimchi, braised abalone served with a seaweed anchovy dressing and a Mexican-inspired corn-based dessert with caramelized pecan and cayenne pepper. The perfect tart ending to a delicious meal.
Sounds intriguing? The Chef’s “New Korean Cuisine” will be served at Cassia Restaurant, Singapore (Capella Hotel, Sentosa Island, 098297) from 6.30pm to 10pm. The glorious menu will set you back S$190++ per person or S$325++ for a 5-course meal paired with wine.
Each evening will host 60 people. To reserve a spot, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call +65 6591 5045.
Chef Yim’s visit is hosted by five-star restaurant, Capella Singapore, and mineral water brands Acqua Panna and S. Pellegrino.
